Formula steps
- Convert dimensions to meters. Convert mm thickness and sheet dimensions to meters.
- Compute volume. Volume = length × width × thickness (m³).
- Multiply by density. Weight = volume × 7850 kg/m³ for carbon steel.

Worked example
2 m × 1 m × 10 mm (0.01 m): volume 0.02 m³ × 7850 = 157 kg.
