Rebar Weight per Meter — Calculation Guide
Rebar weight per meter ≈ (π × d² / 4) × ρ for solid round bar, or read kg/m tables for standard diameters. Use 7850 kg/m³ for carbon steel rebar.

Method
- Identify bar diameter. Note nominal diameter (e.g. Ø12, Ø16, Ø20 mm).
- Find kg/m. Open the rebar sector or use the rebar calculator.
- Multiply by length. Total = kg/m × bar length × number of bars.
- Add lap and waste. Add fabrication allowance per project spec.
Ø16 example
Ø16 mm carbon rebar ≈ 1.58 kg/m × 12 m = ~19 kg per bar (verify in calculator).
FAQ
Deformed vs plain? Weight is based on nominal diameter; ribs add negligible mass.
Bundled weights? Multiply single-bar weight by count; check mill bundle tags for actual.
